We work to build an inclusive economy by advancing equitable access to jobs, housing, and generational wealth in Black communities through targeted policy and systemic change.
WHY IT MATTERS
Economic justice is a critical pillar of racial equity. For too long, Black communities have faced barriers to opportunity, fair wages, and financial security due to systemic racism embedded in our institutions. The NAACP is committed to dismantling those barriers by pushing for bold investments in Black businesses, homeownership, job creation, and education. We advocate for policies that ensure our communities have the tools to build wealth, secure stable housing, and thrive in an economy that works for all of us. This is about ownership, dignity, and future generations. Together, we’re forging a path toward an economy rooted in equity and sustained by justice.
