The Bremerton Youth and Law Forum closes that gap by putting students and families in the same room as the attorneys\, judges\, and community advocates who shape how the law works in Kitsap County. \nThe forum is part of a full fall calendar from NAACP Bremerton\, which also includes a Home Buyers 101 Forum and the annual Community and Law Enforcement Dinner. Those early contacts can follow a young person for years\, shaping school records\, job applications\, and even college admissions. Understanding how the system works\, and what rights apply at each step\, can change how those moments play out. \nThe Bremerton Youth and Law Forum is designed to make that knowledge practical. Instead of lectures\, the day is built around conversation\, so young people can ask the questions they actually have about traffic stops\, searches\, school resource officers\, social media\, and what happens after an arrest. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend alongside their teens so families leave with a shared understanding and a plan. \nPlan Your Visit\nAllow time for security \nPlan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time for building security screening at the courthouse. \n\nThe Kitsap County Courthouse is located at 614 Division Street in Port Orchard. The forum runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM\, and families are welcome to attend for the portions that fit their schedule.
