MLK Breakfast Vancouver 2027 with Rep. Justin J. Pearson

The MLK Breakfast Vancouver 2027 is the 17th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast Celebration, held Monday, January 18, 2027, at 8:30 AM at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. Hosted by iUrban Teen, this year’s theme is The Dream in Action, and the keynote speaker is Tennessee State Representative Justin J. Pearson. Early bird tickets are $75 through November 2, after which prices rise to $125.

A Morning to Honor Dr. King in Southwest Washington

For seventeen years, iUrban Teen has opened Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day by bringing the Portland and Vancouver community together around one table. The breakfast is a morning of reflection, inspiration and connection, and every dollar raised supports iUrban Teen’s work giving young people of color access to science, technology, engineering, arts and math, along with the mentors and career exposure that help them go further.

The 2027 theme, The Dream in Action, is a reminder that Dr. King’s vision was never meant to stay on a poster. It was a plan for voting rights, fair wages, good schools and dignity in daily life. The MLK Breakfast Vancouver 2027 asks everyone in the room what they will do this year to move that plan forward in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

Keynote Speaker Representative Justin J. Pearson

Justin J. Pearson represents Memphis in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He drew national attention in 2023 when he and fellow lawmaker Justin Jones were expelled from the Tennessee House after joining a gun safety protest on the House floor, then returned to office within days after their local governments voted to reappoint them. Pearson has built his public life around environmental justice, community organizing and the belief that young people belong at the center of democracy, which makes him a natural fit for a breakfast that raises money for the next generation of leaders.

Tickets, Tables and Sponsorships

Vendor tables are $150 and include one six foot table, one chair and breakfast for one. Businesses and organizations that want to support the mission can choose from sponsorship levels that range from an Entertainment Sponsor at $1,000 to a Presenting Sponsor at $15,000, with tables, program guide ads and on stage recognition at the higher levels. All proceeds go to iUrban Teen, and purchases are eligible for a tax receipt.

The Hilton Vancouver Washington sits at 301 West 6th Street in downtown Vancouver, a short drive across the Interstate 5 bridge from Portland. Plan to arrive a little early on a holiday morning to park and find your seat before the 8:30 AM start.
