5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton. Free food, raffle prizes and real answers.
The Bremerton Home Buyers 101 Forum is a free evening on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at the Kitsap Conference Center, hosted by NAACP Bremerton Unit 1134. Lenders, real estate agents and wealth advisors from around Kitsap County will explain how buying a home actually works, from fixing your credit to closing day. Spaces are limited, so register early.
Why This Forum Matters
A home is the biggest purchase most families ever make, and the process can feel built to keep people out. Black families in Washington still own homes at a much lower rate than white families, a gap that traces back to decades of redlining and lending rules that shut people out on purpose. Closing it starts with information: knowing what lenders look for, what help exists and which questions to ask before signing anything.
The Bremerton Home Buyers 101 Forum puts that information in one room. Whether you plan to buy next year or are just starting to think about it, you will leave with a clearer picture of the steps and the people who can help.
